Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AwayPro ("AwayPro", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use the AwayPro app and website. By using AwayPro, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address and passport nationality, used to create your account and personalize the app.
• Trip content you provide — trips, travelers, flights, hotel details, notes, chat messages, and any documents or photos you upload (for example visa scans or boarding passes).
• Location (optional) — if you enable it, your device location is used to place you on the shared trip map and to surface your gate when you're at the airport. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
• Notifications — a device token so we can send you flight alerts and messages.

We do not use advertising identifiers, and AwayPro contains no third-party advertising or analytics tracking SDKs.

How we use your information

• To provide the service — coordinating your trips, tracking flights, checking visa requirements, and syncing data across the devices of the people on a trip.
• To send you notifications about flights, messages and reminders.
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run AwayPro. They process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — secure database, authentication and file storage for your account and trip data.
• Resend — processes itinerary emails you forward to trips@awaypro.app.
• Apple — App Store, in-app purchases, and push notification delivery.
• AeroDataBox (via API.market) — live flight status. We send flight numbers and dates only; no personal information.
• Open-Meteo — weather forecasts. We send destination coordinates only; no personal information.

Data sharing within a trip

AwayPro is collaborative. Information you add to a trip is visible to the other members of that trip according to their role. Traveler documents you mark as private are visible only to you and the trip's admins. You control what you share and which trips you join.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected at rest. Access to trip data is enforced by row-level security so people only see the trips they belong to. Chat message content is encrypted on your device.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time by emailing stevenspence@gmail.com from your account address; we will permanently delete it within 30 days.

Children

AwayPro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

• Turn location off in your device settings at any time.
• Manage notification permissions in your device settings.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
